Agent priority and dedicated lines

If you need to contact us regarding a client's personal Self Assessment tax affairs, partnership matters, PAYE (Pay As You Earn) for individuals issues or tax credits claims, you can use our Agent Priority and Dedicated Lines to save you time.

All our Taxes Contact Centres that deal with personal Self Assessment and PAYE for individuals now offer a dedicated line for agents and we've provided a nationwide number for agents dealing with tax credits claims.

Please remember that these services are for authorised agents only. If we cannot verify that you are formally authorised to speak to us on your client's behalf, we will not be able to proceed with the call. For this reason, it's important that you don't give these numbers to your clients.

Find your client's Contact Centre

For personal Self Assessment tax affairs, partnership issues and PAYE for individuals matters, the Taxes Contact Centre you need to call will depend on your client's tax office. You can find your client's Contact Centre by checking correspondence from us to your client or using our Contact Us tool.

Agent Dedicated Lines - what you can expect

When you call an Agent Dedicated Line, your call will be:

  • given priority and answered faster
  • put through to an adviser who has at least 12 months experience
  • transferred to technicians if necessary to ensure your query is answered wherever possible during your first call

Agent Priority Line for tax credits - what you can expect

For tax credits issues, you can use the nationwide Agent Priority Line for tax credits Tel 0845 300 3943. Your call will be routed to a Contact Centre and will be identified as a call from an agent. The adviser will verify that you are an agent and will be able to deal with your query.
