Registration for our online services is straightforward, and uses safeguards to protect your privacy and ensure your details are secure.

Why register for online services?
Depending on the service, you can:
- opt to send and receive secure communications online
- view a breakdown of your payments made and liabilities including interest and penalties
- change your personal details (address, telephone number and email)
- claim a repayment if we owe you money
- receive email reminders to submit returns
- submit a return without an Activation Pin
- make payments electronically
What do I have to do?
Before you start, make sure that you have all your relevant references together.
Once you have selected your chosen service from the ‘do it online menu’ on the HMRC website at www.hmrc.gov.uk you will be presented with a welcome screen.
First time users should select 'Register'.
You will be asked to select the customer group you belong to, followed by the specific service(s) you want to use.
