Self Assessment Online - software and online forms

A range of Internet filing enabled software and online forms are available from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and third party software suppliers. They can be used to file your Individual (SA100), Partnership (SA800) or Trust (SA900) tax return over the Internet. You may also submit virus-free electronic PDF attachments with the online Self Assessment return (subject to certain technical constraints).

The list below shows those third party software companies who have products that have been successfully tested with us to ensure that their forms and supplementary pages can be sent to us over the Internet. We are pleased to accept 2007-08 returns using any of the products shown in the tested product details.

A number of third party software suppliers are still currently testing their products with us. When they have tested successfully they will be listed above.

HMRC also provide a free online filing product: Online tax return - Self Assessment. This will allow you to file the main Self Assessment tax return (SA100) and a selection of supplementary forms:

We have tested all the features of this service, and will provide support to users through our Online Services Helpdesk. This will be one of the available filing options once you have logged on to our Online Services.

  • We are not able to recommend or endorse any one product or service over another.
  • We cannot provide support for these third party products. Any queries or difficulties experienced by users should be taken up directly with the third party supplier.
  • HMRC has only tested the ability of the third party product to send a valid form or return over the Internet and has not tested any of its other features.
