The euro: Paying Tax and NICs in euro
Since 1 January 1999 we have accepted tax and national insurance payments in euro for the following payment methods:
- CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System )
- BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing System )
- Cheque (Payer must have a euro bank account)
Since 1 January 2002 we have also accepted tax and national insurance payments in euro bank notes, but not euro coins.
