Points to bear in mind:

  • To be valid, an FOI request must be made in writing, (letters, emails and faxes are all acceptable), and include your name and return address for correspondence purposes, (again, an email address is acceptable).
  • You should be as specific as possible as to the information you require, as this will help speed up the search for information, and will reduce the risk of your request being turned down on cost grounds. You should let us know how you would like the information provided to you, (ie by post or email), or that you would prefer to view the information in person instead.
