Pay and benefits
We operate a performance management scheme, as we believe that there should be a direct link between performance and your salary. We currently have a pay agreement which runs to 2007 during which time negotiations will take place between the trade unions and the government to establish an improved scheme for 2008.
Our jobs are split into grades and each of these has a different salary scale as shown below. London salaries are higher than those for the rest of the country. Your movement up the salary scale each year depends on your performance in the job.
