Service Review Update
We are pleased to inform you that the recent changes made to Shared Workspace to fix the recent service unreliability issues appear to have resolved the main issue. Performance and stability has significantly improved.
As we have already advised you, this was a complex situation and finding the solution has not been easy. The service will continue to be monitored closely but, as things stand, the outcome looks promising.
We would like to thank all our customers for their patience over the last few months.

We are aware that some users have been experiencing problems accessing the Shared Workspace service recently, and would like to apologise for any disruption this may have caused for our members. Our IT partners are working urgently to resolve this matter. We will provide further updates as soon as we have any more news.

Shared Workspace service will be unavailable from Tuesday 29 April 8.00 pm to make some urgent changes. The service will re-open at 8.00 am on Wednesday 30 April.
The upgrades are absolutely essential in order to maintain the infrastructure that supports a number of our online services and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We will make every effort to restore the service before 8.00 am.

Due to essential maintenance the Shared Workspace Service will be unavailable from 06.00 4 April 2008 until 06.00 Monday 7 April 2008.

The enhancements to Shared Workspace have been made as part of our commitment to ensuring the resilience and high performance of our online services.

Shared Workspace remains temporarily closed. However, we are pleased to advise that we are planning to restore the service in mid-February 2008.
HMRC is committed to restoring Shared Workspace to our customers and we are treating the delivery of the service enhancements as a priority.
We will issue a further message on 31 January 2008 advising the exact date that the service will be available.
